Wagion Lodge noted that many service projects, including shingling, painting, and tree clearing were completed in order to prepare Camp Conestoga for the 2012 summer camping season.

Among the many noteworthy activities a Dining Hall Table Ping Pong Tournament, Cookie Decorating Competition, and giant soccer game were regarded as some of the participants’ favorites.  It was also remarked that Wagion’s Commissary (Cooking) Committee prepared many amazing dishes for the weekend, including a Pittsburgh Steak Salad, baked lasagna, and stuffed crust pizza!

Congratulations Wagion on hosting such a successful event!  Wagion’s next full lodge event will be a service weekend, June 1-3.  However, they will also be hosting an Annual Spring Nature Walk for Cub Scouts on May 12th.

The morning of the 14th will include a presentation of the history of Monaken Lodge from 1937-2012.  The afternoon will feature a Trade-O-Ree (from 1:00-5:00 pm).  A walk-in fee of $3 will be assessed.  The evening will provide an opportunity for open trading as well as socializing.  Please consider joining the lodge in celebrating 75 years of service, fellowship, and brotherhood.

Their schedule begins in the morning with set up and then registration beginning at 11:00 am.  Highlights of the day include free swimming, dodge ball tournament, a summer camp promotions cell, a patch auction benefiting NOAC 2012, banquet-style dinner, and the presentation of the Thunderbird Award – Wagion’s equivalent to the Order of the Arrow Founder’s Award!  Not to mention many great cells led by committee chairmen focusing on making 2012 another spectacular lodge year!
