Wagion to Host Banquet

Wagion Lodge 6 will be hosting their Annual Lodge Fellowship Banquet on February 25, 2012 at Uniontown High School. They have been hard at work planning an entire day of activities, training, food, fun, and fellowship!

Their schedule begins in the morning with set up and then registration beginning at 11:00 am. Highlights of the day include free swimming, dodge ball tournament, a summer camp promotions cell, a patch auction benefiting NOAC 2012, banquet-style dinner, and the presentation of the Thunderbird Award – Wagion’s equivalent to the Order of the Arrow Founder’s Award! Not to mention many great cells led by committee chairmen focusing on making 2012 another spectacular lodge year!

Wagion lodge members are reminded to register as soon as possible, by contacting the Westmoreland-Fayette Council Service Center no later than Wednesday, February 22, 2012.

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 is the the last day to postmark you application for a Section NE-4B NOAC 2012 Scholarship! Remember, the Section Council of Chiefs (CoC) will be choosing three youth Arrowmen from the section to attend NOAC 2012 for free*!

The application can be found here.

*The scholarship (if/when credited) is worth exactly four hundred twenty U.S. dollars ($420.00) or the price set forth by the applicant’s lodge only if less than this amount. This cannot be exchanged for any tenure and the applicant is responsible for any and all additional/other fees related/unrelated to his attendance at NOAC 2012 (such as other lodge contingent fees, transportation fees, spending money, etc.).

Remember, in order to apply for a Section NE-4B Scholarship you must POSTMARK your application by Tuesday, January 31st (2012)! Keep in mind that it needs to be signed by your Lodge Adviser. All the information you need is on the application.

Mark Steiner Elected Section NE-4B Chief!

Upon Section Chief Eric Bush being elected the 2012 Northeast Region Chief in December, a special election was held Saturday, January 28th at Heritage Scout Reservation. The Section Council of Chiefs (CoC) elected Mark Steiner of Wagion Lodge 6 to serve as the new Section Chief. Mark’s term will last until June 10th, 2012. Mark has served as Wagion Lodge 6 Program Vice Chief and Chief.

Wagion’s LLD a Success!

Wagion Lodge 6 recently hosted their Lodge Leadership Development, this past Saturday, January 14th, 2012. In attendance were Section Vice Chief Tanner Lashinksy, Section Adviser Craig Spink, and Northeast Region Chief Eric Bush. Wagion’s Executive Committee discussed many things that will prepare the lodge to have a great year. Over 90% of their LEC was in attendance-that’s impressive! Congratulations on having such a well planned and executed event!

Allohak to Host Winterfest

Allohak Menewi Lodge 57 will be hosting their Winterfest Weekend January 27th-30th, 2012 @Heritage Scout Reservation. Their theme is going to be the “Highland Games.” They will also be hosting the emergency chief election!

You probably have already heard, but our Section Chief, Eric Bush was recently elected to serve as the 2012 Northeast Region Chief; CONGRATULATIONS!!! View Eric’s biography on the nation website. That means that we will need to elect a new Section Chief. This special election will be held Saturday, January 28th, 2012 @ Heritage Scout Reservation, 4:00 pm. Also, keep in mind, if and only if our current Section Vice Chief is elected Section Chief, we will also need to host and election for the position of Section Vice Chief.
